Heavy MTL Becomes Heavy Montreal and Puts Together a One-of-a-Kind, Killer Line-up for This Year’s Festival

It’s hot, it’s hard, it’s heavy metal heaven…it’s the 6^th edition of Heavy Montreal (formerly Heavy MTL) and your face will probably melt just reading about the line-up that’s in store for this year’s event (here’s just a taste of why:  Metallica will be playing their one and only North American performance of 2014 at Heavy Montréal. Not only will fans get to rock out to one of the greatest bands of all time, they’ll get to choose the setlist as well! Heavy Montréal pass purchasers will receive a unique code to vote for the songs they want to hear Metallica play via Metallica’s website.).

Presented by Molson Canadian, this rock-out-with-your-cock-out invasion of heavy music makers and lovers has continued to broaden its horizons by presenting a larger variety of bands (seriously, where else are you going to see Slayer and Nekrogoblikon on the same bill?), making it possible for Heavy Montreal family to expand and attract even more festival-goers than ever (and take it from us, since we’ve been lucky enough to cover Heavy Montreal in past years, this was already one huge gathering of some of the most die-hard metal, rock, and punk fans we’ve ever seen ~ and we were just as likely to run into someone from Boston, MA to someone from Italy…no distance was going to keep the true metal supporters from the music that whips them into a frenzy!).  They’ve also added a fourth stage, will be featuring a ton more local bands, and will be bringing back the Heavy Mania wrestlers.

This year, the festival producers are also introducing Heavy Montréal Terrasse (take a look at the setup HERE! This area replaces the former reserved seating zone found at previous editions of Heavy MTL.  It’s an exclusive, multi-level platform with a premium view of the two main stages.  The advantages?
